SOUL CHEMIST LICENSING

Commercial Use

Clear commercial rights for beats, releases, artists, clients, placements and audiovisual productions created with standard Soul Chemist sound-library products.

These terms apply to standard Soul Chemist sound-library products. Beat licences, custom services, exclusive commissions and any product with separate written terms are governed by their own licence, invoice or agreement.

COMMERCIAL USE SUMMARY

Monetise the finished production—not the source library.

You may commercially exploit music and audiovisual productions created with licensed Soul Chemist sounds. You may not commercially exploit the original sounds as standalone production assets.

YOU CAN

Build revenue around your finished work.

  • Sell and license beats.
  • Release songs, albums and instrumental projects.
  • Produce for artists, labels and clients.
  • Monetise streaming, video and live performance.
  • License finished productions for film, television, games and advertising.
  • Deliver project-specific stems where reasonably required.
×
YOU CANNOT

Turn the library into another downloadable product.

  • Resell, share or upload the original files.
  • Include them in another sample pack, drum kit or expansion.
  • Offer exposed loops or one-shots as stock audio.
  • Give collaborators permanent access to the library.
  • Claim exclusive ownership of standard non-exclusive samples.
  • Train generative-audio systems with the raw files.
THE CORE RULE

Sell the music you create, not the production assets you purchased.

Your commercial output must be a genuine finished production or project-specific deliverable. The original samples must remain embedded, transformed or used as part of a larger creative work.

STANDARD COMMERCIAL RIGHTS

No hidden recurring fees for standard products.

Unless a product page or separate agreement states otherwise, standard Soul Chemist products include broad commercial rights under the following conditions.

01UNLIMITED PROJECTS

Use the product repeatedly

Create multiple qualifying beats, songs, releases and media productions without purchasing a new standard licence for every project.

02UNLIMITED STREAMS

No automatic stream cap

The standard sound-library licence does not impose a recurring stream, sale or audience limit unless the individual product states one.

03NO MASTER ROYALTY

Keep your master income

Soul Chemist does not claim an automatic percentage of the master solely because a standard licensed sound appears in the production.

04NO PUBLISHING SPLIT

No automatic composition share

Standard sound-library use does not create an automatic publishing split for Soul Chemist. Beat licences and separate agreements may differ.

05WORLDWIDE USE

Release internationally

Commercial productions may be exploited worldwide, subject to applicable law, platform requirements and third-party contracts.

06OPTIONAL CREDIT

Credit is normally not required

Credit is appreciated but optional for standard products unless the product page or separate written agreement requires it.

SELLING BEATS

Lease or sell the beat you created.

You may sell non-exclusive or exclusive rights to your finished beat. That transaction does not make a standard Soul Chemist source sample exclusive to you.

PERMITTED

Commercial beat sales

  • Sell beats through your own store or a beat marketplace.
  • Offer leases or exclusive rights to your finished production.
  • Deliver MP3, WAV and project-specific stems.
  • Allow an artist to release and monetise the resulting song.
  • Negotiate your own producer fee, royalties and publishing with the artist.
IMPORTANT LIMIT

Exclusive beat does not mean exclusive sample.

Other licensed customers may legally use the same standard source sound in different productions. Never promise that every underlying sound is exclusive unless you have a separate written agreement granting that right.

Exclusive rights to your beatExclusive ownership of the sample
ARTISTS · CLIENTS · LABELS

Professional client work is permitted.

Artists, labels and clients may commercially exploit the finished production delivered to them. They do not receive independent ownership of the underlying Soul Chemist library.

01
ARTIST PRODUCTION

Create songs for artists

Produce, arrange and deliver a complete beat or song for an artist, including agreed project files and stems.

02
LABEL DELIVERY

Submit professional masters

Deliver the final master and required stems to a label, distributor, publisher or mixing engineer.

03
CLIENT COMMISSIONS

Charge for production work

Use standard sounds in paid production services for brands, creators, filmmakers and other clients.

04
PLACEMENTS

Pitch finished productions

Submit beats and compositions for artist placements, label projects, production libraries and supervised media opportunities.

Client handover:

Transfer the agreed rights to the finished production, not the reusable sample library. A client who wants independent access to the raw files must obtain their own licence.

STEMS & COLLABORATORS

Deliver what the project needs—without exposing the library.

Project-specific stems are allowed when reasonably required for recording, mixing, mastering, label delivery, sync editing or live performance.

ALLOWED

Production stems

  • Drums, music, bass and effects grouped for mixing.
  • Vocal-ready beat stems for an artist.
  • Alternate mixes for sync or broadcast.
  • Project audio for an authorised engineer or collaborator.
NOT ALLOWED

Reusable source delivery

  • Clean isolated loops copied directly from the pack.
  • Folders of original one-shots or drum breaks.
  • Stems designed to reconstruct or extract the library.
  • Shared cloud access to the full product.

SYNC & AUDIOVISUAL USE

Finished productions can move beyond music platforms.

Commercial use includes audiovisual licensing when the finished production—not the raw sound—is supplied to the client or platform.

FILM & TV

License finished cues, songs and instrumentals for films, television, documentaries and trailers.

ADVERTISING

Create and license finished music for brands, campaigns, social adverts and corporate content.

GAMES

Use finished productions in games, interactive media and promotional content.

ONLINE MEDIA

Monetise YouTube videos, livestreams, podcasts, short-form content and branded channels.

CLIENT REQUIRES TOTAL EXCLUSIVITY?

Confirm whether non-exclusive samples satisfy the brief.

Some clients require exclusive control over every underlying element. The purchaser is responsible for confirming that a standard non-exclusive sample licence meets the commissioning party’s clearance requirements.

OWNERSHIP, MASTER & PUBLISHING

Know exactly what belongs to whom.

A commercial licence gives you broad exploitation rights without transferring ownership of the original sound-library assets.

SOUL CHEMIST RETAINS

The source product

Ownership of the original samples, loops, drum sounds, programs, expansion files, artwork, documentation and product organization.

YOU CONTROL

Your finished production

Your original arrangement, added composition, performance, production, mix and master recording, subject to the underlying sample licence.

MASTERNo automatic Soul Chemist share for standard products.
PUBLISHINGNo automatic Soul Chemist split for standard sound-library use.
CLIENT DEALYou negotiate your own fee, royalties and publishing terms.
THIRD PARTIESLabels, collaborators and distributors may impose separate terms.
EXCLUSIVE VS NON-EXCLUSIVE

Commercial rights do not automatically create exclusivity.

Exclusivity applies only when it is expressly granted in the product page, invoice or separate written agreement.

STANDARD PRODUCTS

Royalty-free and non-exclusive

Sample Packs, Drum Kits, MPC Expansions, Bundles and standard libraries may be licensed to multiple customers.

BEAT LICENCES

Beat licences may contain their own stream limits, publishing splits, credit rules and Content ID restrictions.

RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL USES

The source library cannot become your product.

Editing, pitching, chopping, reversing, layering or renaming a sound does not create permission to redistribute it as production content.

×

Sample-pack creation

Do not use the files to create another sample pack, drum kit, construction kit, expansion or stock-audio product.

×

Raw-file resale

Do not sell or license individual loops, breaks, one-shots, programs or source folders.

×

Shared libraries

Do not upload the files to public links, team servers, forums, torrents, Discord, Telegram or shared cloud folders.

×

False exclusivity

Do not claim exclusive ownership of standard sounds or interfere with other authorised customers.

×

AI and datasets

Do not train, fine-tune, evaluate or supply generative-audio systems or datasets with the raw files.

×

Brand misrepresentation

Do not imply official endorsement, partnership or ownership of the Soul Chemist brand or product catalogue.

Can I sell beats made with Soul Chemist samples? +

Yes. You may lease or sell the finished beat and negotiate your own producer terms. The buyer does not receive independent rights to the original Soul Chemist library.

Can an artist release a song using my beat? +

Yes. The artist may commercially release and monetise the resulting song under the rights you grant in your beat agreement.

Can I use the sounds for major-label placements? +

Yes. Keep proof of purchase and disclose non-exclusive sample use when the label, publisher or clearance team requests it.

Can I use the music for film, television or advertising? +
