SOUL CHEMIST LICENSING

Royalty-Free License

Use Soul Chemist sounds in commercial music and media without recurring royalties, while keeping the original source files protected.

Commercial music useNo recurring royaltiesWorldwide licence

This licence covers standard Soul Chemist sound-library products. It applies unless the product page, invoice or a separate written agreement provides different terms. Beat licences, custom services and exclusive commissions can use separate conditions.

PLAIN-ENGLISH SUMMARY

Create commercially. Keep the source files protected.

Royalty-free does not mean copyright-free or public domain. It means a valid purchaser can use the licensed sounds in finished creative productions without paying recurring royalties to Soul Chemist.

YOU MAY

Use the sounds inside finished productions.

  • Make and sell beats.
  • Release songs, albums and instrumental projects.
  • Produce for artists, clients and labels.
  • Monetise streams, videos and performances.
  • Use finished productions in film, television, games, podcasts, adverts and online content.
×
YOU MAY NOT

Distribute the sounds as production assets.

  • Resell, share or upload the raw files.
  • Include them in another sample pack, drum kit or expansion.
  • Offer isolated samples as stock audio or downloadable stems.
  • Give collaborators access to the original library.
  • Claim exclusive ownership of a standard non-exclusive sample.
THE SIMPLE RULE

Sell the music you create—not the source library used to create it.

Your finished beat, song, soundtrack or audiovisual production may be commercially exploited. The original sounds must remain embedded in a larger creative work and must not be made available as reusable production content.

THE LICENCE GRANT

Clear rights without hidden recurring fees.

Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, the purchaser receives the following licence for the sounds included in the applicable product.

01WORLDWIDE

Use music internationally

Release and exploit qualifying finished productions in any territory, subject to local law and third-party platform rules.

02COMMERCIAL

Monetise the result

Sell, stream, license, perform and monetise finished productions that incorporate the sounds.

03NON-EXCLUSIVE

Standard sounds remain available

Unless a product states otherwise, the same source sounds may be licensed to other customers.

04NO RECURRING ROYALTIES

No automatic revenue share

Soul Chemist does not claim an automatic royalty or revenue split solely because a licensed sound appears in your finished production.

05ONGOING USE

Keep released work online

A valid purchase can continue to be used in compliant productions without recurring renewal.

06NO MANDATORY CREDIT

Credit is normally optional

Credit is optional unless the product page or a written agreement requires it.

ID
WHO RECEIVES THE LICENCE?

The purchaser or purchasing business.

The licence is granted to the person or legal entity named in the purchase record. It may not be resold or transferred as a standalone sound-library licence. Artists and clients may exploit finished productions delivered to them, but they do not receive the underlying raw library.

PERMITTED USES

Made for real production work.

The licence supports independent releases, client sessions, professional placements and repeated use across different finished productions.

MUSIC RELEASES

Beats, songs and albums

Use the sounds in instrumental beats, singles, EPs, albums, beat tapes, remixes you are authorised to create and other finished music.

CLIENT WORK

Artists and production clients

Create music for artists, labels and paying clients. Deliver the finished production and necessary song stems without transferring the reusable source library.

ONLINE CONTENT

YouTube, social media and podcasts

Use finished productions in monetised videos, podcasts, streams, trailers and branded online content.

SYNC & MEDIA

Film, television, adverts and games

License finished productions for audiovisual use, subject to the commissioning party’s clearance, cue-sheet and delivery requirements.

LIVE USE

Performance and broadcast

Perform, DJ, stream or broadcast finished music that incorporates the licensed sounds.

MULTIPLE PROJECTS

Build a working library

Use a standard product in multiple qualifying productions unless its product page states a specific limitation.

STEMS & SESSION DELIVERY

Production stems are allowed when they belong to a specific song or project.

You may deliver stems reasonably required for mixing, mastering, label delivery, sync editing or artist collaboration. Do not deliver isolated source samples, clean reusable loops or stems designed to recreate or extract the original pack.

USE-CASE CHECKER

Can I use the sounds for this?

Select the closest scenario. The result is a practical guide; product-specific written terms still take priority.

PERMITTED

You may sell a finished beat containing the licensed sounds.

Keep the sounds embedded in the beat or its project-specific stems. Do not provide the buyer with the original sample pack or isolated reusable source files.

RESTRICTED USES

The raw library always stays protected.

Editing, pitching, filtering, layering or renaming a sound does not turn it into a new sample-library asset that can be redistributed.

×

Resale and redistribution

Do not sell, share, gift, trade, upload or distribute the original files or a substantially similar derivative library.

×

New sound products

Do not include the sounds in sample packs, drum kits, construction kits, loop libraries, MPC expansions, presets or stock-audio collections.

×

Public or shared storage

Do not place the library in public Drive folders, group accounts, torrents, forums, shared servers or collaborative cloud spaces.

×

Isolated licensing

Do not license a raw sample, loop, break or one-shot by itself to another person, company or media library.

×

False exclusivity

Do not claim that a standard library sound is exclusively owned by you or prevent other authorised customers from using it.

×

AI and dataset use

Do not use or supply the raw files to train, fine-tune, evaluate or build generative-audio models, datasets or automated sound-generation services.

“BUT I MODIFIED IT”

Processing alone does not permit redistribution.

A pitched, reversed, filtered, chopped or layered sound can be used in a finished production. It still cannot be sold or shared as an isolated sample, loop, stem, preset ingredient or downloadable production resource.

CONTENT ID & AUTOMATED CLAIMS

Monetise your music without claiming other licensed users.

Standard Soul Chemist products are normally licensed non-exclusively. Automated copyright systems must not be used to claim exclusive ownership of the underlying shared samples.

YOU CAN

Distribute and monetise a finished song

Release your completed production through streaming services and monetise authorised videos when your distributor and platform rules allow it.

!
CHECK FIRST

Content ID requires exclusive reference rights

Do not submit raw samples, exposed loops or non-exclusive sample material as an exclusive reference. Some distributors require tracks using non-exclusive loops to be excluded from automated claiming.

×
YOU CANNOT

Claim the underlying sample against others

Do not issue or maintain claims against Soul Chemist, another authorised customer or legitimate content that matches the same licensed source material.

If an automated claim is caused by a non-exclusive Soul Chemist sample:

Release or remove the conflicting claim promptly, follow the platform or distributor dispute procedure and avoid resubmitting the shared sample as exclusive reference material.

OWNERSHIP

A licence to use the sounds is not a transfer of the source copyright.

The purchase grants production rights while Soul Chemist retains ownership of the original library files.

SOUL CHEMIST RETAINS

The original product assets

Ownership of the raw samples, drum sounds, loops, programs, expansion files, artwork, documentation and product branding remains with Soul Chemist or the applicable rights holder.

YOU CONTROL

Your original finished production

Subject to this licence, you control the original arrangement, added musical elements, performance, production and master recording you create around the licensed material.

#
KEEP YOUR PROOF OF LICENCE

Save the order confirmation and product documentation.

Keep the order number, invoice and applicable licence as proof of authorised commercial use.

SEPARATE LICENCE TYPES

Some products use different written terms.

Always read the specific product page before purchase. A separate agreement controls where terms differ.

LICENSING QUESTIONS

Quick answers before you release.

Search the licence or open the question that matches your project.

What does royalty-free mean? +

It means the licensed sounds may be used in compliant personal and commercial finished productions without paying recurring royalties to Soul Chemist. It does not transfer ownership of the raw source files or place them in the public domain.

Can I release music on streaming platforms? +

Yes. You may release and monetise finished beats, songs, albums and other qualifying music through streaming and download platforms.

Can I sell beats containing these samples? +

Yes. Sell or license the finished beat, not the underlying library. The artist may exploit the resulting song but does not receive permission to reuse or redistribute the original pack.

Can I use the sounds for placements or label work? +

Yes, subject to this licence and the label’s delivery requirements. Keep proof of purchase and disclose non-exclusive sample use when a client, label, publisher or distributor asks for clearance information.

Can I use a finished production in film, TV, adverts or games? +

Yes. You may license a finished production for audiovisual use. You may not provide the raw Soul Chemist files as a reusable sound-effects or production-music library.

Can I send stems to an artist, mixer or label? +

Yes, when the stems belong to a specific production and are needed for recording, mixing, mastering, sync or label delivery. Avoid isolated stems that expose a reusable source sample.

Do I need to credit Soul Chemist? +

Credit is normally optional for standard sound-library products unless the product page or a written agreement states otherwise. Credit is always appreciated.

Can I register my finished song in Content ID? +

Only when your distributor and platform rules permit it and the reference does not improperly claim non-exclusive sample material. Standard Soul Chemist samples themselves must not be registered as exclusively owned reference content.

Can I share the pack with a collaborator? +

No. Collaborate by sharing project-specific audio or stems. Anyone who needs independent access to the raw product should purchase their own licence.

Can I resell a sample after heavily modifying it? +

No. Processing can make the sound suitable for your production, but it does not create permission to redistribute it as an isolated sample, loop, kit, preset ingredient or stock asset.

Are there limits on streams, sales or projects? +

The standard licence does not impose an automatic stream, sales or project cap unless the individual product page states one. Beat licences and separate written agreements can use different limits.

Are standard packs exclusive? +

No. Standard store libraries are normally non-exclusive. Exclusive usage is available only where a custom plan or separate written agreement expressly grants it.

Can the licence end? +

The licence depends on a valid purchase and compliance with its terms. Fraud, chargeback abuse, unauthorised redistribution or another material breach may result in access restriction and termination of the licence, subject to applicable law.

Can I request written confirmation for a label or client? +

Yes. Contact support with the order number, product, project type and the exact clearance question. Support can confirm the applicable store licence but cannot provide legal advice for a third party’s contract.
